Iceland has to be one of our favourite countries we’ve visited. We loved it so much that we went back for a second time. There is just so much to do in Iceland with kids and quite a lot of places you can visit are free. We have plenty of ideas for you to plan your holiday there. In winter, it can dip well below freezing, so you’ll want to pack your biggest coat. In summer, temperatures are milder, sometimes reaching the mid to high teens.
The main draw for me with Iceland is its abundant natural beauty. There really is nowhere else like it on earth. Its dramatic landscape has volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields. Plus massive glaciers in the Vatnajökull and Snæfellsjökull national parks. Known as the land of fire and ice thanks to some of the world’s most active volcanoes and some of the largest glaciers in Europe.
