We enjoyed a lovely holiday to Corfu a few years ago. It is a really beautiful Greek island and one often overlooked by tourists. Corfu has more than 200 kilometres of coastline so beaches are easy to come by. It also has great weather from around May until October with the mid-summer weather not getting too overly hot. Below we take a look at some of the best all-inclusive hotels for families on the islands. All of the hotels below have an all-inclusive package which usually includes a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks at set times plus selected local-brand alcohol and hot and cold drinks. MarBella, Mar Bella Collection – Agios Ionnis Peristeron
With a picturesque location, stylish bedrooms and a great dining scene the Marbella Mar Bella Collection certainly falls into the luxury retreat category. Taking centre stage is the hotel’s infinity pool. There is also a saltwater pool plus you have slides and rides at the Anemelia Aqua Park (open from May until the end of October). Children aged 4-11 can be kept entertained at the 6-day-a-week kids’ club. Teens even have their own club and there is a creche for younger children. In the evenings you can enjoy a great range of entertainment including a Greek night, live music, shows and more. Ikos Dassia – Dassia
Designed to impress the Ikos Dassia is located on a 600m sandy beach and has a plethora of pools and a la carte dining. The beach is exclusively for hotel guests. Two lagoon-like pools face the beach and there is one for kids plus two just for adults. You have 10 bars to choose from to enjoy a drink, one of which stays open until 2 am. There is a kid’s club for those aged 4-12 plus a club just for teens and a creche for the really little ones. Various shows take place in the evening with live music, theatrical performances, musicals and more. The hotel has a daily rota of activities and there is a range of sports activities. Also at this hotel for an additional charge, there is a football academy, tennis academy and watersports. Some junior suites can sleep up to 4 people and you can stay in a beachfront deluxe suite with a sea view and a private pool, these can sleep up to 5.
Dreams Corfu Resort and Spa – Gouvia
With a brand-new look in 2023, the Dreams Corfu Resort and Spa has seen a top-to-toe makeover. It is located on a sandy beach and is just a 5-minute walk to local bars and restaurants. There are two pools, one just for families and the other for everyone. Plus seven bars including a beach club. Those aged 4-12 can take part in an Explorer’s Club and teens have their own area with games and activities. In the evenings you can expect live music, tribute acts, bands, shows and themed parties. The entertainment team organises a wide range of sports activities. Their club bungalows can sleep up to 4 people or there are beachfront club bungalows plus a range of other accommodation options.
Louis Ionian Sun – Agios Ionnis Peristeron
With an out-of-the-way postcode next to a beach is the Louis Ionian Sun. It has a couple of pools nestled into the surrounding hillside. Closer to the hotel’s main building there is a small pool with a handful of slides and a couple of sports courts. The International Kids’ Club is great for those aged 4-12. In the evenings, 6 nights a week, kids can learn new dance moves over at the mini disco. All the family can enjoy live shows 7 nights a week plus other evening activities. Sports-wise there’s a good mix of facilities such as tennis, aqua aerobics, volleyball and there is a playground. Family rooms can sleep up to 4 people and you can book a garden view or a sea view. Twin rooms can sleep up to 3 people.
Labranda Sandy Beach Resort – Aghios Georgios South
Great for families is the Labranda Sandy Beach Resort which of course is located next to a sandy beach. You are also just a 10-minute walk from bars and tavernas. The hotel has four pools to choose from including one just for kids and another which has 4 family-friendly slides. For children aged 4-12, there is the hotel-run kids club. Then in the evenings, all the family can enjoy entertainment at the amphitheatre with shows, local acts, dance shows, interactive games and more. Sports facilities include tennis courts, darts, beach volleyball, mini-football and more. Kids also have a playground where they can burn off some of that extra energy. Family rooms can sleep up to 4 people or there are 2 bedroom family rooms with a large balcony. These can sleep up to 6 people.
Kerkyra Blue Hotel and Spa – Alykes Potamos
Tucked away in 95 acres of gardens right by the beach on the east coast of Corfu is the Kerkrya Blue Hotel and Spa. It’s had a major refurb and is now part of the Louis Hotel’s elegant collection. Highlights include 3 restaurants, a spa, a gym and a range of pools. Kids have their own splash pool with sunbeds and umbrellas dotted around. Open 6 days a week is the Santelino Kids’ club for those aged 5-12. Also 6 nights a week all the family can enjoy evening entertainment. There are lots of on-site activities including tennis, mini-football, a playground, daily activities, bike hire and mini-football. Superior family rooms can sleep up to 4 people and they have a sliding door that separates it from the additional beds in the room. You can upgrade to enjoy a sea view.
Akron Seascape Resort – Sidari
Set on a scenic headland next to one of Corfu’s most popular coves is the Akron Seascape Hotel. On-site there is a large pool with a kids section. There is no kids club and the entertainment is relatively light at nighttime with live singers, guitarists and Greek nights. The facilities are quite low-key at this hotel but should you want to explore further there is a coastal hiking path a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. Adults can take some relaxation time at the Spa or work out at the gym. Perfect for families are their 1 bedroom duplex family rooms that can sleep up to 4. Or there are 2 bedroom family rooms. You can even upgrade to a swim-up room with a terrace that sleeps up to 3 people.
Aqualand Resort and Waterpark – Aghios Ioannis
Home to one of Corfu’s biggest waterparks is the Aqualand Resort and Waterpark. Stretching out for over 75,000 square metres everything here revolves around the waterpark. It has 49 slides and boasts the world’s third-biggest wave pool. It also has a lazy river, a pirate-themed splash park and a spa. In the daytime kids aged 3-6 and 7-12 can be kept entertained at the kids’ club. Then in the afternoons and evenings, all the family can enjoy the entertainment, 6 nights a week. Activities are quite low-key with tennis, basketball, darts and a few others. For the children, there is a games room and a playground. Aeolos Beach Resort – Perama
With a hillside setting and first-class panoramas, the Aeolos Beach Resort is a great option for families. Rooms are spread across a huge complex facing the Ionia Sea and you can reach Corfu town in 15 minutes. On-site there are two pools, one is an infinity pool and the other is a family pool with a separate baby pool. Entertainment comes in the form of a kids’ club, a mini-disco and an evening entertainment programme. Also for the children, there is a playroom, video games and a playground. Sports facilities include tennis, beach volleyball, water polo, darts and more. Perfect for families are their family rooms with sliding doors separating some of the beds. Messonghi Beach Hotel – Moraitika
Located next to a beach and featuring plenty of pools the Messonghi Beach Hotel is a great choice for families. Kids have two pools and there is a miniaqua park just for children. In the daytime, six days a week, children aged 4-12 can take part in a kids’ club. When evening comes there is a mini-dico and a whole host of evening entertainment. This has the likes of dancing and music, plus a Greek night, karaoke, quizzes and more. Also at this hotel, there is a playground, daytime activities, a football court, petanque and more. Other facilities with an additional charge include watersports, tennis courts, a diving club and a games room. There are family rooms which can sleep up to 4 people and you can upgrade to a superior family room.
